Deep Kokonati Bowl

Wide and generously deep, this bowl is finished with my Kokonati surface. Hand-applied slip forms delicate ridges that are highlighted by a softly wiped-back light brown glaze, creating a warm, organic texture inspired by the surface of a coconut shell.

Inside, a vibrant turquoise glaze reveals beautiful variations in colour and subtle flow marks left by pouring the glaze in and out by hand. These traces of the making process ensure that no two bowls are ever alike. Equally suited to generous servings or as a sculptural piece in its own right.
