Medium Hukura Vase

This medium-sized bouquet vase features the distinctive Hukura finish. A textured slip is applied over a perfectly smooth form before a white glaze is added and carefully removed again, allowing it to remain only on the raised areas. The result is a beautifully tactile surface where white highlights accentuate the sculptural texture while the natural clay remains visible beneath.

Perfect for fresh flowers, dried arrangements or as a sculptural piece in its own right.

The larger vase in this series was selected for the Annual Members Juried Exhibition 2026 at Ceramics Western Cape, held at the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town.
